Creating a new class or term

Learn how to create a new class or term with a regular weekly schedule

Note: The terminology in this article may differ from what you see in your account, as labels such as Class, Term, and Session can be customised under Account Settings.

  1. Select Classes > New Class to go to the New Class page.


2. Choose whether your class is in-person or online.

  • Leave this set to No if it’s an in-person class.

  • Change it to Yes for an online class held via software like Zoom or Skype.

3. Complete the Details section:

Fill in your Class name and Price.
You can choose between:

  • Per-session pricing (e.g. £6 per session)

  • Per-class or term pricing (e.g. £60 flat for the whole term)

Tip: If you select per-session pricing, membermeister will automatically calculate the correct fee during your invoice run by multiplying the per-session rate by the number of active sessions or weeks.

You can also:

  • Add Location information

  • Choose a Class colour (this will appear on your calendar)

  • Add Students — or you can do this later

4. Complete the Schedule section:
Set the Start date, Start and end times, and Number of weeks.


Note: Be sure to include the session that takes place on the start date when counting your total number of weeks.


If your class doesn’t follow a regular pattern, select Custom schedule instead.
(This article focuses on regular schedules.)

5. When you’re ready, click Create class to save it.

Managing sessions after creating a class

Delete a session

  1. Click the session you want to delete on the timeline.

  2. Select Delete.

Add a session

  1. Click More...

  2. Select Add session.
