To ask customers to accept your terms and conditions, add a link to them in Account Settings, then switch on acceptance for each form that needs it: the registration form, the confirmation form and online bookings. Every acceptance is recorded, so you can show who agreed to which version and when.
For: account owners and team members with Full access.
Before you start
Your terms and conditions need to be online, for example a page on your website or a PDF with a public link. membermeister links to them; it doesn't store the document itself.
Step 1: Add the link to your terms and conditions
Click your name in the top right corner and choose Account Settings.
Scroll to Account preferences.
Paste the link into Terms and Conditions.
Click Save changes.
The options in the next steps only appear once this link has been saved.
Step 2: Switch on acceptance where you need it
Where | Who it's for | How to switch it on |
Registration form | New customers registering with you | In Account Settings, scroll to Forms and click Configure next to the registration form. Tick Enable Terms and Conditions for registrations and click Save. |
Confirmation form | Existing customers updating their details | In Account Settings, scroll to Forms and click Configure next to the confirmation form. Tick Enable for confirmations and click Save. |
Online bookings | Customers booking classes or trials online | Click your name in the top right corner and choose Booking Settings. Tick Enable Terms and Conditions for bookings and click Save settings. |
What your customers see
A required tick box with a link to your terms and conditions. They can't submit the form until they tick it.
On online bookings, the tick box appears on the review page, before payment.
How acceptances are recorded
Each time someone accepts, membermeister records:
the link to your terms and conditions at that moment
the date and time
the IP address it was submitted from
which form or booking it was accepted on
This means that if you change your terms later, you can still show which version someone agreed to. If you need a copy of these records, contact us.
Tips
Changing your terms? Put the new version at a new link (for example with a date in the file name) and update the link in Account preferences.
