A class drops off your Classes overview once its last lesson has passed, this is because the list shows active and upcoming classes by default.
To see it again, change the Show filter. To keep it running, add more lessons, or duplicate it for a new term.
For: team members with Full, Finance or Staff access.
Good to know
membermeister uses your account's own configured terminology, so you may see different words for Classes, Lessons and Students.
Membermeister doesn't add new dates to a class automatically. A class runs for the dates it was set up with, then finishes.
A finished class keeps its students, registers and invoices.
Find a finished class
Go to Classes > Overview.
In the Show drop-down at the top right, choose recently finished (3 weeks). For older classes, choose finished classes. This option will show a maximum of 180 finished classes.
Click a class name to open it.
Tip for accessing older classes
Should you need to access older classes beyond the 180 limit, use a class report. Under Reports, select New Class Report.
Use the 'Starts after' and 'Ends before' options and select 'Results include' and then 'All classes' from the dropdown on the left hand side.
Add a few more lessons
Use this when a class needs a handful of extra dates, not a whole new term.
Open the class.
Click more... at the top right and choose Add lesson.
The new lesson is filled in for one week after the last lesson, with the same students. Change the Date and Time if you need to.
Click Add lesson to save.
Repeat for each extra lesson.
Start a new term
For a new block of dates, roll the class over: duplicate it with new start and end dates. The enrolled students are copied across, so you don't need to enrol them again. You can roll over many classes at once from Classes > Overview by ticking them and clicking Duplicate.
Why not set up one very long class?
You can, but we recommend termly or half-termly classes, even if parents pay a fixed monthly Direct Debit:
Invoice runs invoice the whole period of a class, so a year-long class means a year-long invoice.
Online bookings charge for the rest of the class, so a parent booking into a long class sees a large fee.
Long classes are harder to work with, because the lesson timeline gets very long.
Rolling classes over takes a couple of minutes, however many classes you have.
