How to find students who are enrolled in two specific classes

Use the student report and a spreadsheet to list the students enrolled in two particular classes.

Written by Stefan Richter

Membermeister can't filter a report to show only the students who are in two named classes, but you can download the student report and filter it in a spreadsheet. The student report's Active classes filter only counts classes, so it can't pick out particular ones.

For: team members with Full access.

Note: membermeister uses your account's own configured terminology, so labels such as students and classes may read differently in your account.

Step 1: Create a student report

  1. Hover over Reports at the top of the screen and select Students & Classes.

  2. Click New student report.

  3. Set any filters you want, for example to list only students who are in more than one class. Then click Search.

Step 2: Show the class names

  1. Click Display options and make sure Active classes is ticked, so each row lists the classes the student is enrolled in.

Step 3: Download the report

  1. Click Download to save the report as a spreadsheet.

  2. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets.

  3. Filter the Active classes column so it contains the name of the first class, then add a second filter so it also contains the name of the second class.

The rows left are the students who are in both classes.
