How to compare class numbers with class capacity

Check how many students are in a class against its capacity, even though reports can't currently show capacity.

Written by Stefan Richter

Membermeister's reports can't show class capacity, so you can't build a report that compares the number of students in each class with the spaces available. The class report shows the number of students in each class, and each class's capacity is set in its booking settings, so you can compare the two yourself.

For: team members with Full access.

Membermeister uses your account's own configured terminology, so labels such as students and classes may read differently in your account.

Step 1: See how many students are in each class

  1. Hover over Reports at the top of the screen and select Students & Classes.

  2. Click New class report.

  3. Click Search. The Students column shows how many students are in each class.

  4. Click Download if you want the numbers as a spreadsheet.

Step 2: Check each class's capacity

Open the class's booking settings and look at Class capacity. If the box is empty, the class has unlimited capacity.

Subtract the number of students from the capacity to work out how many spaces are left.

Good to know

  • Classes export. The Export button on the Classes overview downloads the list of students in the selected classes. It doesn't include class capacity.

  • Full classes. When a class reaches its capacity, the When capacity is reached setting decides whether new bookings join the waiting list or are prevented.
