To send a free SMS payment reminder, go to Invoices, then Overview, tick the overdue invoices, click Remind and choose the SMS tab. Each invoice can have up to two free SMS reminders, and your customer gets a text with a link to pay.

Before you start
Free SMS reminders work when all of these are true:
Your account is connected to GoCardless or Stripe for online payments.
SMS messages are switched on in your account (see below).
The invoice is overdue and has no GoCardless or Stripe payment on it already.
The customer has a valid mobile number.
You don't need to buy SMS credits to send these reminders.
Step 1: Switch on SMS messages (first time only)
Click your name in the top right corner and choose Account Settings.
Scroll to the SMS messages section and click Enable SMS messages.
Choose a sender name, usually your business name. This is what customers see as the sender. It can be up to 11 characters, using letters, numbers and spaces.
Click Enable SMS messages.
Step 2: Select the overdue invoices
Click Invoices, then Overview.
Use the Show filter to choose Overdue, so only overdue invoices are listed.
Tick the invoices you want to send reminders for, or tick the box at the top to select them all.
Click Remind.
Step 3: Choose how to remind and send

If some invoices can't be reminded, the window lists them with the reason, for example Invalid mobile number or Maximum SMS reminders already sent. The others are still sent.
